>>> New Shimano Dura-Ace R9100 and R9150 groupsets officially announced
It’s been nearly four years since the Dura-Ace 9000 groupset first broke cover so it was only a matter of time before the updated groupset possibly named Dura-Ace 9100 was leaked. Over the weekend the shots below were posted on Instagram and then later deleted. A quick look on Baidu has these shots plus the latest one at the bottom of this article.
2017 Shimano Dura-Ace 9100
Well we can only speculate now in the absence of any official information but I would expect the mechanical groupset may be Shimano Dura-Ace 9100 and the Di2 version Shimano Dura-Ace 9170.

Well the colour is the first obvious thing, pretty much all black finish instead of the mixture of polished and colour on the current groupset.
Longer rear derailleur cage, possibly taking up to 32 tooth cassette.
The derailleur pulleys or jockey wheels appear to have gained and extra tooth and there is more aggressive cut out in the pulley wheel.
The rear derailleur is direct mount.
The crankset retains the compact four arm design but the arms appear to be wider.
Power meter incorporated into the crankset similar to what has been seen on FDJ team bikes.
New rim brake design, looks more aero and a lot bigger than the previous 9000.
What may be new, and what has not been included
I think it will be safe to assume both 2017 Shimano Dura-Ace groupsets will be lighter than previous.
Is it wireless? Well clearly there are wires there in the photo but I wouldn’t rule out being wireless, the bulb at the back is clearly bigger. Maybe it’s partly wireless, partly wired like the FSA Groupset being developed.
New Dura-Ace branded disc brakes? The design in the photos is new.
The 2017 Dura-Ace groupset will be 11 speed, no extra gears.

In 2012 the Dura-Ace 9000 was released to the public in September, I would say the same will happen with the new 2017 Dura-Ace groupset and between now and then (September 2016) expect some more photos then a test ride by one of the bigger cycling publications with Team Sky or FDJ then official details released by Shimano.
