The Focus Paralane is a new endurance racing bike from Focus featuring disc brakes, endurance geometry, wide tyres and a choice of carbon or aluminium frame that takes on recent releases from BMC and Canyon in the endurance and gravel bike market.

With the new Paralane, Focus engineers set about creating a racing bike with ride characteristics to take on long distances over a variety of surfaces including Gran Fondo, dirt tracks and rough roads.

Typically, endurance bikes have a taller head tube which creates a more relaxed riding position, the Focus engineers instead lowered the bottom bracket of the Paralane to 75mm (BMC Roadmachine is 71mm) and lengthened the fork. As well as creating a more relaxed position this allows for wider tyres and a lower centre of gravity.
