Stage TTT Winners BMC Racing Team

BMC Racing Team won the team time trial narrowly beating Team Sky by 1 second who had to wait for their fifth rider Nicholas Roche to cross the line after he cracked on the final climb. Nairo Quintana’s Movistar team came in third only 4 seconds down on BMC Racing Team.

In the race for the overall Tour de France Chris Froome still leads wearing the yellow jersey, Tejay van Garderen has closed the gap by 1 second to sit 12 seconds behind Froome in second place. Alberto Contador lost 28 seconds today with his Tinkoff-Saxo Team coming in fourth, he sits in fifth place on GC 1:03 behind Froome. Nairo Quintana moved up to ninth on GC and 1:59 behind Froome, the rest of the race from now on suits Quintana’s strengths, stage 10 after the rest day will be one to watch.
