Specialized S-Works Sub 6 Red

Specialized have released the S-Works Sub6 lace up road shoe and an S-Works 6 model at the same time as their new Specialized S-Works Venge ViAS. The S-Works Sub6 has a claimed weight of 170 grams per shoe and comes in three colours, white, black and rocket red. The S-Works 6 comes in the same colours, has Boa dials and weighs in at 205 grams per shoe.

The Sub6 features a roomier toe box and a narrower heel counter, and with laces rather than boa dials is more aerodynamic. The Sub6 also comes with a lace cover that Specialized has named the Warp Sleeve™.

The Sub6 shoe will retail for $499 in Australia, for comparison a Giro Empire SLX road show is $385.

Specialized S-Works 6

The S-Works 6 uses a material called Dyneema which is light and forgiving, but not stretchy. The shoe like previous S-Works models retains Boa dials and a single velcro strap. Titanium alloy cleat nuts can rotate to position pedal/cleats 5mm rearward.

Specialized S-Works Evade GC Skinsuit

In yet another aero product released with the new ViAS, Specialized has the Evade GC Skinsuit which will be available in September for $699. The skinsuit features seamless shoulders, dimplex fabric to reduce drag and cold fabric technology to reduce surface temperatures.The Evade GC Skinsuit also has UV 50+ sun protection and comes in eleven sizes.
